About Us
Philosophy
Friedens Lutheran Child Care Center (FLCCC) is a non-discriminatory program of Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church. We believe early childhood should be a time of fun, warmth, security, exploration, and discovery. We believe each child is a special person to be treated with respect and love. Our primary objective is to meet the needs of children with experiences that will foster their creativity, receptivity, and self-esteem. We are concerned with the individuality, health, and growth of every child in our care. We seek to strengthen family life by providing a loving and safe environment for the children in our care. We will strive to provide an atmosphere that encourages social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth and development.
Since FLCCC is a church-sponsored ministry, we will have table grace before eating and include the Christian story in our teaching during the Christmas and Easter seasons. As children show curiosity about our facility and activities taking place in it, or when they have questions about events in their own lives, we will seek to answer them from the Christian tradition in ways that are sensitive and age-appropriate. The religious teaching at FLCCC will be respectful of all parts of the Christian family, as well as other religious traditions.
